چکیده

Ten strains of Pseudomonas aeruginosa were disrupted and centrifuged. The supernatant fluids from centrifugation at 105,000 X g contained enzymes inactivating kanamycin, neomycin, and streptomycin in the presence of adenosine triphosphate. Kanamycin-inactivating enzyme was precipitated with ammonium sulfate at 66% of saturated concentration, and the inactivated kanamycin was shown to be kanamycin-3'-phosphate in which the C-3 hydroxyl group of 6-amino-6deoxy-D-glucose moiety was phosphorylated. This is identical with kanamycin inactivated by Escherichia coli carrying R factor. Streptomycin-inactivating enzyme was precipitated with ammonium sulfate at 33% of saturated concentration.

The Immunomodulatory Effect of Recombinant Exotoxin A of Pseudomonas Aeruginosa on Dendritic Cells Extracted from Mice Spleen

Background & Objective: Dendritic cell (DC) is as a key cell in activation of immune response against microbes and disease. Therefore, the effect of recombinant exotoxin A of Pseudomonas aeruginosa on the maturity and the activation of DCs was evaluated in this study. Materials & Methods: Recombinant exotoxin A was produced from Pseudomonas aeruginosa DNA. MTT assay was used to evaluate ...

Use of Growing Cells of Pseudomonas aeruginosa for Synthesis of the Natural Vanillin via Conversion of Isoeugenol

The great demand of people for consumption of natural additives resulted in producing natural vanillin. There are plant sources and chemical procedures for vanillin production but microbial bioconversions are being sought as a suitable alternative. In the present work, the ability to produce vanillin from isoeugenol was screened using growing cultures of various bacteria. Among the 56 strains o...

فراوانی ژن‌های کد کننده سیتوتوکسین‌های exoT، exoY، exoS وexoU سیستم ترشحی تیپ 3 در سودوموناس آئروجینوزا جدا شده از بیماران سوختگی

Background and Objective: Pseudomonas aeruginosa is an opportunistic pathogen causing nosocomial burn infections. Disease results from the production of numerous virulence factors, some of which are injected directly into the eukaryotic host cells via the type III secretion system (T3SS).The aim of this study was to determine the prevalence of cytotoxins encoding exoT, exoY, exoS and exoU genes...

Use of immunogenic moiety of Pseudomonas aeruginosa exotoxin A as a DNA vaccine in experimentally contaminated mice

Background: DNA immunization is an appropriate method to produce an immunological response. Pseudomonas aeruginosa produces exotoxin A which is highly cytotoxic for eukaryotic cells. Since domains II (translocation domain) and 1b of the toxin have antigenic qualities, so they could be  useful candidates to protect against pseudomonas infections. Objectives: To evaluate if recombinant plasmid co...
